Rita is able to accept therapy clients who reside in the state of Illinois.

  • Therapy provides a formalized professional relationship built upon clinical knowledge and expertise, using evidenced based treatments, and follows the professional mandates of the state of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers, and Mandated Reporting.  It focuses on the global wellness of the individual client.  It is client directed, involves inquiry of the client by the therapist, and direct advice is not given.  The therapist reveals little about themselves and focuses on client’s process.  Professional boundaries are explicitly created and maintained, and meet the standards of the IDFPR and NASW clinician/client relationship.  Clients may not be friends or acquaintances.  A diagnosis is given based upon the DSM-5 for superbilling.

Rita is able to accept mentoring clients from anywhere in the world.

  • Mentoring provides a personalized professional relationship based upon agreed upon goals between the mentor and mentee client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the mentee client to maximize personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals. The mentor pulls from all life and professional experience to provide this service. It focuses on specific goals and life challenges being experienced by the client. It is client directed, it involves a back and forth of inquiry and discussion between the client and mentor, and direct advice may be offered, unlike in therapy. The nature of the relationship is fluid; the client can request more or less input, as needed. Clients may have an existing personal or professional relationship with mentor.  A diagnosis is not given.

Therapy and mentoring are separate and distinct client services provided to clients by Rita.
